1. Overview

Auction Caddie is a web-based platform that allows friend groups and golf clubs to run live auction tournaments. By using Auction Caddie, you agree to these terms. These terms apply to all users — hosts who create tournaments and players who participate.

2. Entertainment Purpose Only

Auction Caddie is designed for entertainment within private friend groups and clubs. The platform does not facilitate gambling in any legal sense. Prize pools are funded entirely by participants through entry fees and bids — Auction Caddie takes no commission. You are responsible for ensuring money-based competitions comply with local laws.

3. Account Registration

You must create an account to use Auction Caddie. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure. You must be at least 18 years old. You agree to provide accurate information and keep your profile up to date.

4. Tournament Hosting

Hosts create and manage tournaments. By creating a tournament, you agree to: • Invite only people who have consented to participate • Set fair and transparent rules before opening the auction • Pay the one-time platform fee before opening the auction • Ensure all participants understand how payouts work

5. Payments

Platform fees are collected via Stripe and are non-refundable once the auction has been opened. Prize pools are managed entirely between participants — Auction Caddie does not hold, transfer, or guarantee prize money. Hosts are responsible for ensuring winners are paid.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: • Use the platform for illegal gambling or unlicensed competitions • Create fake accounts or impersonate others • Attempt to manipulate auctions or defraud other players • Use the platform to harass or harm other users We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms.

7. Limitation of Liability

Auction Caddie is provided "as is". We are not liable for disputes between participants, unpaid prizes, or losses arising from use of the platform. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the platform fee you paid.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance. We will notify users of significant changes via email.
